Solution Architect

Our consultancy client are looking for an experienced solution architect to work on a large scale client project working with product owners and UX teams to ratify decisions with architecture governance to ensure standards are followed or dispensations granted. Working with architecture counterparts on the definition of interfaces into and out of the platform you will validate the as-is architecture, identifying risks and issues to be addressed and participate in workshops to ensure that architecture interests are suitably represented. Working with the designers to document the architecturally significant parts and oversee and guide solution design as they elaborate the low-level details of the platform. Support the squad as they translate architecture from logical to physical and map onto appropriate cloud services and create and own architecture deliverables to articulate the key aspects of the solutions in the team.

You will possess in-depth knowledge and experience of delivering solutions using a variety of AWS services and any knowledge and experience of Azure would be beneficial but not essential to the role. Experience working with solutions that have been delivered onto containerised platforms is useful and previous work on a developing a portal or knowledge aggregator site would be an advantage. You will be use to modern architectures such as APIs, microservices and event streaming and to keep pace with new capabilities being delivered by each of the cloud providers. Familiarity working in an environment using Agile delivery methods and teams using DevOps principles is a must.
