Description: Our consultancy client is looking for an experienced Technical Architect to work on a major client project. Working on a major payments transaction programme you will be primarily focused on the selection, architecture and implementation of a new cloud infrastructure working on the technical design for internal technical documentation and to support the vendor contract. You will support the creation of end user documentation and support special initiatives.

Experience wise you will need knowledge of network and infrastructure architecture for both on premise and cloud solutions as well as data centre and telco connectivity. Along with knowledge of network and cloud architecture, design principles and technologies and of security and identity principles, standards and industry best practice. With a strong understanding of continuous application development and infrastructure provisioning through the use of pipelines and of deployment models for applications and infrastructure to support upgrades and releases in a zero downtime environment. An awareness of monitoring techniques, capacity management, resilience approaches and recovery planning is required and a good understanding of payment processing and any scheme experience of Bacs or FPS is advantageous.

This role will be hybrid with a couple of days a week on site in London and some home working and has been deemed to be inside IR35 so services will need to be provided through an umbrella company.
