- Description
Monarch are working with a large government organisation that are recruiting a Ruby developer to assist them on an initial 12 month contract, inside IR35. The role can be based in either London, Bristol or Manchester and will be a mixture of remote and on site.
Some of the skills required include:- Have experience in back-end web development, with detailed knowledge of Ruby and the Rails framework
- Familiar with AWS cloud infrastructure and services such as S3, RDS and EKS, EC2 and Redshift
- Have experience of using testing to validate solutions
- Understand agile environments and version control
- Have a good understanding about web security and accessibility
- Have a good understanding of technologies used for web applications, e.g databases, backups, CDNs and search, and of Unix-like operating systems, e.g. Linux and/or Mac OS
- Familiarity with use of infrastructure as code tools, especially Terraform
