Senior Delivery Manager

Monarch are working with a large government organisation that are recruiting for two Senior Delivery Managers to assist them on an initial 6 month contract. This position will be remote however will eventually be 1 or 2 days in London, Bristol or Manchester and falls inside IR35.

The Senior Delivery Manager will lead the discovery and build phases of a new App. You will be running the procurement, ensuring the team hit the ground running and then leading the development and deployment of the App into the Google and play stores. 

Some of the responsibilities include: 

• Lead and motivate teams. 
• Ensure teams clearly communicate their plans and progress through their plans using recognised agile practices
• Identify and communicate risks, issues, dependencies, and blockers
• Working with senior leaders to ensure all needs are understood and to influence strategic direction
• Actively participate in the Delivery Manager community, learning, sharing and applying skills and knowledge to improve

• Experience working in the service assessment stages
• Experience of buying in the public sector using government procurement framework
• Have successfully delivered complex digital projects and products
• Understand agile and lean methodologies and how they help deliver products and services at scale
• Are confident matrix-managing multi-disciplinary teams 
• Understands the distinction between a discovery, alpha etc. and what type of delivery support is needed in these phases 
• Experience of applying agile and lean practices to a non software environment and can enable a non software team to work with software
