An incredible opportunity has come up with a large government organisation. They are recruiting for a LIMS (laboratory information management system) solution expert to assist them on an initial 6 month contract, inside IR35.
You will be responsible for the overall end to end LIMS solution design, this includes LIMS workflow and the integration design.
Some other responsibilities include:- Work closely with systems analysts and laboratory systems product owners to ensure functional and non-functional requirements are captured, challenged, prioritised and refined appropriately.
- Ensure the designed solutions are able to meet functional and non-functional requirements, and support testing teams in planning for validation against these requirements.
- Work closely with LIMS vendors to ensure the optimum approach is used to meet user requirements, using an understanding of LIMS capabilities.
- Engage with product owners of upstream and downstream systems to ensure a depth of knowledge of laboratory data is input into change planning in these areas, and any impacts of change in these areas to the laboratory systems is well understood.
- Ensure traceability between requirements and systems design artefacts, supporting systems validation to GMP standards.
- Using LIMS and laboratory subject matter expertise in digital laboratory transformation, scientific informatics implementation and robotic laboratory automation implementation
- Production of design artefacts capturing systems configuration changes, laboratory and systems workflow and user-systems interaction, equipment and systems integrations, and data model and data flow.
- Quality control processes in laboratories
- Agile software development and application lifecycle management
- Adherence to key principles of ISO15189, ISO17025 and ISO13485 in the design and validation of LIMS solutions
