We are currently looking for a System Support Analyst to join our client on an initial 6 Month Contract.
Rate: upto £350 per day
Start: ASAP
Location: Central London/ Remote
Industry: Finance/Banking
You will be responsible for system support over the clients development teams within a production environment. This will cover all aspects such as communication with Data Centre/Help Desk staff, analysing/finding failure to reach a root cause, resolving issues by liaising with development teams, liaising with internal and external supports teams and providing explanations to Business Clients.
Key Responsibilities:- Troubleshooting JRIE systems in the event of failure and implementing solutions (Code fix, SQL scripting etc), including checking Windows Servers, Databases (SQL Server or Oracle) and any other relevant environments where the system is running. In some cases, this will involve liaising with other application support team staff across London and New York.
- Out of office hours support required as part of production support team
- Liaising with the relevant support teams (such as Technical Support, Network, Infrastructure, DBA) when users experience system issues.
- Providing system support services additionally in non-production environments such as disaster recovery and development environments required for SDLC.
- Providing scripts for database enquiry languages, i.e., T-SQL (SQL Server) and PL/SQL (Oracle) to provide analysis and exporting data etc. based on Business requirements.
- Following “Change Management Control procedures” to get approval for any updates in Production systems and “Maintenance reports” for non-Production environments.
