We are currently working with a large banking client in Central London who are looking for a Support Analyst to join them to help support their banking application.
Duration: 6 Months – Extendable
Location: London/Remote 2/3 days a week on site
Start Date: ASAP
IR35: Inside IR35
Languages: Japanese and English Speaking
As the Banking Application Specialist you will be responsible for maintaining and supporting banking and/or line of business applications.
You will have substantial experience of using Trading systems.- Interfacing across all offices in EMEA, the incumbent is required to work closely with business clients, vendors and other members of IT teams in Americas and EMEA, to maintain, implement and enhance application functionality.
- Acts as the “service owner” for applications, ensuring their continued availability and fitness for purpose to support business needs.
- Leading and arbitraging response to incidents, managing communication with stakeholders and technical teams, identifying business risks and reporting status to IT and business management.
- Responsible for working with business stakeholders to understand and translate business requirements into functional requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, implement and enhance applications for the businesses and provide solutions to improve business process efficiency.
- Analyse and manage issues with business applications, in order to ensure continuous and reliable operation of the Bank’s business processes.
- Appraise long term service problems and facilitate the definition and implementation of solutions to these problems to provide a continuous improvement to application reliability, performance and quality for users.
- Liaise and communicate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure clear understanding of the current status and proposed plan to resolve technical problems.
- Perform incident management activities during unplanned system outages to act as a coordinating point for users, infrastructure and a knowledge hub for IS and senior management
