Application Support Engineer - Japanese Speaking

We are currently looking for an Application Support Engineer to join out financial client on a contract basis.

This will be a hybrid role with 2 days a week remote working.

Due to the nature of the role the successful candidate will be fluent in Japanese.

You will be responsible for supporting the development teams in both production and non-production environments.

This will cover:

• Communicating with Data Centre/Help Desk staff
• Analysing/finding failure to reach a root cause
• Resolving issues by liaising with development teams
• Liaising with internal and external support teams and providing explanations to their business clients
• Implementing solutions (Code fix, SQL scripting etc), including checking Windows Servers, Databases (SQL Server or Oracle)
• Providing system support services in non-production environments such as disaster recovery and development environments required for SDLC.
• Providing scripts for database enquiry languages, i.e., T-SQL (SQL Server) and PL/SQL (Oracle) to provide analysis and exporting data etc. based on business requirements.
