Trade Floor Support - IT Trade Floor - Trade Floor Engineer

Monarch IT are working with a financial services firm based in Central London, who are looking to appoint an IT Trade Floor Support Engineer on a 6 month contract vacancy with the possibility of an extension, paying up to £350 per day (inside IR35). You will also be required to be working on site 5 days a week, due to the nature of work being completed - Central London. My client is very well established within the financial and banking sector, as they are a subsidiary of one of the largest banks in Asia.

Prior experience/Duties of the job:

• Supporting the Front Office Trade Floor/ Treasury desktop environment
• investigation of Front Office related issues and resolving or engaging with application owners to provide effective issue and problem management and rapid resolution.
• Provide English language support to colleagues across Front Office EMEA region with awareness of and consideration to differing cultures and/or languages.
• Managing and developing collaborative relationships with other groups within the IT division, locally and globally
• Work with third party vendors/suppliers to troubleshoot and resolve issues as required.
• Workstation and Server hardware and software build.
• Coordinate and support (planning, documenting, implementing and verifying) the large-scale movement of desk-side equipment between desk positions, working in conjunction with building services and 3rd level resolver groups where appropriate.
• Support and contribute to the wider systems team’s projects as required.
• Participate in shift rota, providing cover between 07:00 and 19:00 Monday to Friday.
