- Description
Monarch are working with a large government organisation that are recruiting for a Senior Developer to assist them on an initial 6 month contract. This will be a hybrid position with 1-2 days on site in either London, Manchester or Bristol. The position falls inside IR35.
Some of the responsibilities include:- Shape technical solutions for the implementation of work on multiple data projects across government, working closely with other technical members of the team
- Support other developers in the team and help them to develop their skills
- Build APIs and web services to serve a variety of citizen and government needs
- Take responsibility for solving complex issues, and for the quality of the code produced
- Experience in Python backend development.
- Demonstrable experience of being the senior developer on complex projects, able to turn business requirements into code
- Experience of using testing to validate solutions
- Understanding agile environments
- Experience using tooling such as version control systems, continuous integration and delivery
- Experience working with databases, backups, CDNs and search engines
- Experience working with web technologies - HTML, CSS, JavaScript and framework
