Software Engineer, Java, Python, AWS, Kubernetes, Contract, Manchester, Glasgow, Remote, Homebase

We are currently looking for 6 Software Engineers to join our client on a long term contract for 12 months.

Location: The roles can either be based in Manchester or Glasgow, with some remote work available- 2/3 days a week remote. The client is willing to be flexible on this.

IR35: Inside IR35


You will work primarily on backend tasks which are focused on moving and manipulating data from the content teams systems and platforms.

 
Key skills we are looking for:

  • Languages: Java and Python
  • Tech: essential Kubernetes and AWS. Desirable Apache Kafka
  • Experience working in an agile environment
  • Experience of or comfortable with pair programming.
  • Developers must be comfortable with code reviews – this means having their code reviewed by other developers and being able to review the code of other developers.
  • A willingness to learn new systems such as closure
