Security Engineer (Remote due to Covid-19)

Monarch are working with a global data and information organisation based in Surrey that are recruiting for a Security Engineer to assist them on an initial 3 month contract. 

**this position will be home based due to Covid-19. 

You will be responsible for the design, implementation, testing and the tracking of information security solutions within a newly acquired businesses. You will be advising the business on general security and application integration. The successful individual will take the lead in designing solutions that use technology to ensure the confidentiality and availability of the organisations IT services can be used in an efficient way. 

Some of the skills and responsibilities for this role include: 

• Strong knowledge of secure environments including system hardening and access controls. 
• Excellent knowledge of compliance and governance 
• Experience of conducting vulnerability assessments
• Able to promote security policies
• Experience in conducting technical risk assessments for third parties. 
• Conducting due diligence for on-site infrastructure and 3rd party engagements 
• Experience with configuring and maintaining security infrastructure including web application firewalls and Anti-virus technologies.
