Data Scientist

Monarch IT are pleased to present an opportunity for an established Data Scientist to join a government organisation on a 3 month contract. Paying up to £625 per day inside IR35. - Role is based in either London, Bristol or Manchester - 2 days onsite/ 3 days WFH. 

The role will be working directly within their Digital and Data Office, who lead the space within the government across Data, Digital and Technology. You will be apart of the team within the Analysis and Strategy department where you will be the first of the Data Scientists within the team. You will be challenged to expand on the teams analytical techniques and establishing more innovative technologies and data sets. This will help to generate new policy insights that will make a huge difference! You will also be apart of the future of strategy and data driven insights.

Role:

• Responding to needs using advanced data science techniques for a range of projects they are working on
• Presenting findings and related recommendations to DM's across the internal department.
• Influencing data science needs and how overall decisions are made. Effectively being able to challenge ways of thinking across the mid level and senior teams.
• Use of innovative analytical techniques to provide data driven insights to inform the organisation and teams around more strategic priorities/ tasks.
• Presenting of findings to senior management
• Working as a line manager for SEO analysts as well as providing mentoring for more junior data scientists.
• Build evidence to support data science and it's impacts of public service efficiency and productivity.
