Working for a consultancy client of ours the Network Technical Lead will be responsible for assuring the technical design and implementation of customer network infrastructure (LAN, Firewall, Load Balancing, Cloud) and ongoing technical support for their end client. The role will be responsible for leading a team of network engineers to complete technical delivery as part of a programme of works and transition to steady-state service and support.
You will have extensive experience of multi-vendor network technologies gained in previous hands-on technical support and design roles, coupled with a high-level of technical knowledge and experience of core network technologies at an enterprise level. The role requires you to have the ability to design and implement complex technical, multi-site and multi-discipline solutions across a range of network technology such as WAN, LAN, Cloud, Firewall and Security. Experience of Juniper Firewalls, F5 Load Balancing and Dell Switches will be beneficial to this role.
You will Lead the design and implementation of new network infrastructure, including the creation of HLD/LLD’s and documentation in response to customer requirements and lead a team of engineers to deliver solutions and provide technical assurance to the customer. Ensuring that designs and implementation adhere to vendor best practices for specific technologies and established standards and frameworks, meeting customer compliance requirements at all times and work closely with the customer and/or customer’s technical teams to advise on solutions and providing detailed information on design and implementation.
The role will be mainly remote with some travel to client sites in the Midlands and South East and will be inside IR35.
