Description

Monarch are working with Media giant that are recruiting for an Infrastructure Project Manager to assist them on an 18 month contract. The role falls inside IR35 and will be a hybrid of working remotely and on site in Watford. 

The organisation are embarking on a global project to implement infrastructure for a programme going live in Japan in 2023. This position is perfect for a highly experienced Project Manager who has managed project budgets upwards of £1 million and has extensive experience of implementing infrastructure solutions. 

Some of the skills required: 

  • Working knowledge of recognised Project Management process groups such as Initiating, Planning, Executing, Controlling and Closing.
  • Understanding of outsourced service provider resources, managing remote teams to successfully deliver projects.
  • Ability to elicit cooperation from a wide variety of sources, including upper management, partners, and other departments.
  • Must be able to effectively communicate resource needs and project issues with IT Infrastructure Services management to ensure appropriate resources are available to the project.
  • Knowledge of IT infrastructure - Networking, Compute/Storage, End-user Computing, Telephony, Facility, Support, and the ability to learn, understand and apply new technologies.
  • Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressured, fast-changing landscape is essential.
  • Capacity to work flexible hours, including working across multiple time zones when necessary.
  • Some travel will be required to oversee implementation phases and ensure quality of work.
There will also be opportunity to travel to Japan to meet with the teams throughout the project.
