We have a new exciting opportunity for a Project Manager (Infrastructure & Cloud) to join an expanding organisation in Solihull. My client is currently going through an exciting stage of transformation having adapted a cloud 1st strategy and modernising their infrastructure with a number of new technologies.
The role:
We are looking to hire an experienced IT Infrastructure Project Manager to deliver key technology projects for the organisation. The successful candidate will also help build the evolving Infrastructure delivery function utilising multiple methodologies for implementation and lead certain areas of Continuous Improvement.
Purpose of the role
In this role, you will responsible for a wide-ranging portfolio of infrastructure projects, including, technology upgrades, server migrations and cloud implementations. Supporting the Infrastructure and Cloud you will also be responsible for project managing site commissioning, decommissioning and upgrades and any other IT infrastructure project that is needed by the Business.
Duties and responsibilities- Run all assigned projects, from idea to closure. Delivering to time, budget and scope
- Serve as the stakeholder liaison ensuring proper communications, coordination of activities, scope management, change control, issues management, risk management, deliverable quality assurance and milestone achievement
- Interact with the management team and user base to ensure alignment of scope
- Assist with project reviews and helping managed other delivery pipelines for Infrastructure
- Provide experience and expertise in gathering requirements and conducting process analysis and mapping
- Minimum of 5 years' experience in IT infrastructure Project Management
- Ideally come from a technical background
- Great leadership and IT project management skills with exposure to multiple methodologies (PRINCE2, Agile)
- Regulated environment experience desirable
- Superior project management skills
- Excellent communication skills: Influence, collaboration, conflict resolution, and expectation management to work with different IT and business teams to deliver results
- Exceptional leadership skills and motivation to progress in the organisation
Previous similar experience in IT Infrastructure as a Project Manager is essential, along with strong people management skills.
