IT Field Engineer

Monarch IT have a fantastic opportunity for you to work with large government organisation as an IT field Engineer on a six month contract. This role will fall inside IR35 and you will be working within the Derbyshire. There is also an opportunity to work remotely however the client will prefer candidates to be geographically close to the locations listed.

 

Key skills & role responsibilities:


•             Perform complex installations and configurations of desktops, laptops, software & related hardware


•             Ability to work under pressure to meet SLA's, particularly around First Time Fix and Call Answer times


•             In this role you will be continually making decisions about technical escalations, reacting to emerging technical situations and dealing with IT issues.


•             You must possess a calm & friendly disposition & be able to manage difficult situations with all levels of staff.


•             Be customer centric, making sure the customer is always happy with the service and installation completed onsite

•             You will be liaising with remote teams to drive incidents

 


Role requirements & qualifications:


•             Experience providing deskside support


•             Degree in relevant IT subject or equivalent experience


•             Experience working within an ITIL framework.


•             Proven software and hardware troubleshooting skills


•             You should have good written & verbal communication skills with the ability to convey complex information and ideas in an understandable manner


•             Working knowledge of Microsoft Windows and MS Office applications


•             Good problem solving and decision-making skills


•             Able to analyse data from various sources in order to make an informed decision
