Lead UX Designer
Due to continued growth, we have an exciting new opportunity for a Lead UX Designer to play a crucial role within a financial organisation.
The majority of your work will be remote but you may need to occasionally visit either their London or East Midlands office.
This particular business is looking a Lead UX Designer that is highly skilled at crafting exceptional experiences.
As well as leading and inspiring a small team to design great experiences, you will help to drive significant transformation for the business. You will work in close collaboration with the Head of Product to define the future experience and identify new opportunities to solve everyday problems – through researching, concepting and validation.
In your new role you will,- Guide and organize discovery, research, and data synthesis to identify critical user insights and develop hypotheses to design effective experiences.
- Perform investigative analysis to uncover the product’s wows and woes, relative to market/consumer trends, competitive threats, market opportunities, and consumer experience.
- Generate new ideas or concepts by leading workshops, structured brainstorms, or other collaborative exercises.
- Develop and test new propositions that solve the problem identified and validate that the concept is desirable and addresses the jobs to be done.
- Deliver high-quality work through wireframe/prototypes as well as leading a small team of designers that are focused on the improvement of customer journeys and flows.
- Act as a coach, trainer and mentor within the team and broader product team.
- Excellent visioning skills.
- Possess deep understanding of design craft, tools, and the user-centred design process.
- Experience leading projects from start to finish.
- Strong understanding of user research and testing.
- Confidence in communicating, defending, and building consensus around design decisions.
- Experience working at all levels, including senior stakeholders.
