I am currently seeking an Infrastructure Engineer to work for a leading financial organisation in Solihull. company. My client has a fantastic reputation for staff development and they're currently investing heabily in their Infrastructure and Cloud division.
Responsibilities:- Manage server environments to agreed availability and performance targets
- Effectively deal with incidents across the server environment
- Actively drive security and system improvements
- Proactively drive activities to reduce service risk, increase resilience or improve performance working to reduce long term issues with problem management
- Drive resolution of incidents and problems, especially those with a security implication, and take proactive action to avoid occurrence or repeats
- Ensure auditable adherence to DPA, ISO27001 and other applicable legislation and standards
- Follow core processes and procedures such as change control and incident logging
Qualifications and experience:- Expert knowledge of MS Windows Technology, Active Directory and Office 365
- Expert knowledge of System Center (SCCM, SCOM)
- Expert knowledge of Virtualisation (vmware/Hyper-v)
- Good working experience of backup technologies
- Good working experience of Azure (or other cloud tech)
- Good working experience of Powershell and scripting
