Application Support
We are looking for a Application Support Engineer to join a market leading company with offices in Solihull. We are helping a longstanding customer grow their IT team. They're currently investing heavily in their IT Infrastructure and internal Applications. This will be a great opportunity for somone looking to gain more experience in the Cloud and work with cutting edge technologies.
Job Purpose
A multi-facetted role supporting internal users in their use of IT applications to carry out their day to day activities. Of most significance, includes elements of:- 2nd line issue investigations
- Administration
- Change Management
Key Duties
2nd line issue investigations -- Owning and progressing incident, problem and requests
- Gaining and using an understanding of applications supported and the business’s use of them to troubleshoot at the application level
- Gaining and using an understanding of underlying system configurations, data structures and integrations to troubleshoot at a lower level
- Liaising with internal and external 3rd line support groups where necessary
About The Candidate
Key Skills
Essential Skills- An understanding of SQL
- Ability to demonstrate strong Windows Domain knowledge
- Good technical understanding of Microsoft Office products
- Passion to work in IT Support role providing exemplary service to customers
Desirable Skills- Previous demonstrable experience of working in an Application Support role
- To have experience of workflow tools to support business processes
- Experience with Salesforce, Outsystems and/or Microsoft Dynamics
- Understanding of fundamental ITIL principles to Foundation level
Ideally you will have a couple of years experience in a similar position or an IT graduate.
Hours
37.5 per week Monday to Friday from 8:30am to 5.00pm (one hour for lunch).
