Azure Cloud Engineer


(Home working and flexible hours available)

We are currently recruiting for an Azure Cloud Engineer to join a market leading company in Birmingham. Reporting to the Cloud Manager, we are looking for someone who can help them develop their Cloud environment. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who's interested in developing their technical skills in a supportive and collaborative company. 



Main Duties


·Be an expert point of escalation for the business on Cloud and Infrastructure issues.


·Deploy new production / non-production environments within the Cloud.


·Assist and provide support to deploy Servers and Services for the different Regions ensuring all correct tagging and cost centre/owners are defined.


·Ensure DR environment is robust, secure and fully implemented as per Group IT requirements and best practises


·Monitoring of Cloud platform, analytics and overall health is maintained to optimum.


·Continually work with Storage and Compute team to ensure on-prem Infrastructure is optimal and advise if workloads should be migrated.


·Coordinate with the Local IT team in the countries in regards on new projects.




Essential


·Experience of building enterprise solutions within a Cloud platform (Azure)


·Develop applications with optimised for cloud deployments within Azure


·Experience of setting up cloud-based infrastructure alongside governance and security policies


·Ability to maintain, support and troubleshoot an Azure environment


·Working knowledge and experience of MS Stack technologies (AD DS, DHCP, DNS, Group Policy)


·Experience of virtualisation platform such as Hyper-V / VMware - configuration and administration
