DevOps Engineer

Monarch are working with a large government organisation, based in Manchester that are recruiting a DevOps engineer to assist them on an initial 6 month contract, inside IR35. 

The successful individual will be at the forefront of transforming an existing MI capability for one of this organisations top 6 programmes. You will be joining a multi-disciplinary Agile team comprised of talented individuals to drive their strategy. 

The MI Data and analytics platform is looking to utilise the following: 
• Azure Synapse Analytics,
• Azure Data Factory,
• Synapse Workspaces,
• Azure Databricks,
• Azure Machine Learning Workspace

The role will require design and implementation of applications' build, release, deployment and configuration activities applicable to the listed technologies.

Technical Skills required:
• Responsible for the design and implementation of applications build, release, deployment and configuration activities.
• Responsible for working within multi-functional teams to gather requirements, evaluate tools.
• Implement and update solutions, build and execute test plans, provision environments, application performance reviews, assist migration of legacy systems, and triaging and fixing operational issues.
• Collaborates with others when necessary to review specifications and uses the agreed standards and tools to design, code, test, correct and document programmes or scripts of medium to high complexity, using the right standards and tools.
