An exciting opportunity has come up for a Site Reliability Engineer to work with a leading data organisation on an initial 6 month contract, inside IR35.
This role would be perfect for an individual who wants to make a big difference and be a key member to a highly collaborative team. You will be delivering leading edge software and working with an extremely talented team to share ideas to solve problems.
Some of the responsibilities will include:- Implementing a monitoring strategy
- Diagnosing challenging technical issues
- Working as part of a team to best implement internal applications
- Understand infrastructure as a Service (IaaS) and it’s implementation methods
- Identify and implement architectural best practices.
- Diagnose complex system problems using dumbs, traces or other aids.
- Expert knowledge of Linux
- Expert knowledge of one or more database systems such as Postgres, SQL Server.
- Good experience with configuration management tools i.e. Puppet
- Good experience with best practices and tooling for CI/CD
- Good knowledge of at one IaC tools such as Terraform, Ansible.
- Understanding of one programming language (Python, .Net)
- Experience in scripting languages
- Experience in Git
