Location: Solihull, Birmingham
Day rate: Up to £430 per day – inside IR35
Contract length: 6 months (scope for extension)
Start date: As soon as possible
Clearance: Current SC Clearance or eligible to obtain
Remote working: This role will initially be fully remote until able to return onsite.
We are recruiting for a well established organisation where you will provide BAU operational support across a wide range of customer network infrastructure, including health checks and reporting in parallel with managing incidents, problems, requests and changes in line with ITIL best practice and ensuring that SLA's are maintained. You will need experience in the below to be successful:
- The role requires you to have the ability to troubleshoot complex, technical, multi-site and multi-discipline incidents and problems, alongside providing hands-on experience of firewall and security appliance configuration and management.
- You will need to demonstrate knowledge and experience of a Cisco Routing/Switching environment, as well as Cisco, Palo Alto and CheckPoint Firewalls. Troubleshooting skills in core LAN technologies such as spanning tree and routing (OSPF, EIGRP, BGP).
- Certification from major network vendors (Cisco, HPE Aruba, Palo Alto, CheckPoint) at a minimum of associate level.
- Experience within a multi-client or solution provider would be beneficial.
- Although not mandatory, an ITIL certification and experience of working within the framework would certainly be preferred.
- Delivery of project-related tasks such as the installation of new network equipment
- Creation of network diagrams and documentation
- Ensure that customer environments adhere to established standards and frameworks, meeting any compliance requirements at all times.
- To input into the design and implementation of new network platforms, including the creation of associated documentation (HLD / LLD, support documentation etc.)
