Java Developer, Java 8, Java Engineer, Jenkins, Scrum Master, Digital, Financial, 

Key Responsibilities 


This exciting global financial client is currently expanding their digital and payment technologies. The client are on the hunt for two Java Developers to help improve and develop current applications in the financial space. This specialist will have a deep knowledge of software development and object orientated programming predominately in a Java environment. 

  • This  Java Developer will be working with a small scrum agile team headed up by the technical lead, in addition they will be working with a systems analyst and scrum master
  • They would want this person to have an advanced understanding of object orientated languages
  • Analyze requirements, work closely with platform architects to assist in architecting solutions, and create detailed designs
  • Deliver solutions by providing day-to-day technical leadership for other developers as well as providing direct development of software
  • Mentor other technical resources and assisting in evaluating candidates for new positions
  • Assistance with production support issues by acting as point-of-contact and subject matter expert in resolving incidents and problem tickets.
  • Looking ideally for someone with scaled Agile, not essential at all normal agile is fine but would be helpful
Key Skills
  • Strong Java Developer with a software development background
  • Java 8 specific exposure
  • Any exposure with Spring, Mockito, Cucumber
  • Jenkins experience
  • RESTful web services, JSON / JMX remoting exposure
  • Postgres / Elastic
  • Proven experience working in an Agile environment, with continuous integration and collective code ownership
  • A high degree of skill in Java web service development and testing
  • Familiarity with high availability distributed systems, SOAP and RESTful messaging
