Description

Devops Manager
Technical Leader / People Management
Ansible, Terraform, Powershell
Remote Based

I am working in partnership with a major technology driven organisation who are on a big technology transformation journey. As part of this, they have created a key role for a Devops Manager.

This is a tri-functional role whereby you will be responsible for managing and leading the Automation team, which was created 18 months ago and is based across 2 locations, undertaking line management and performance management activities. You will be the technical expert within the team, providing guidance on how to automate the infrastructure and solutions more effectively. There will be a technical element to this role. An important part of this role will be to create new global standards on infrastructure automation and how infrastructure will be deployed across the business. You will also be liaising with senior stakeholders both externally and internally, and presenting your ideas and suggestions to them, identifying the best way forward and the advantages on using the new approach.

The 1st 6 - 12 months in the role will entail evaluating the current landscape and introducing new Agile ways of working and implementing new processes and best practices.

The successful candidate will have previous experience of managing devops / automation teams and have hands on experience with Ansible, Terraform and Powershell. It is essential you have previous team / line management experience. Any cloud experience is desirable however both in house and external training will be provided.

This is an exciting opportunity to join a successful company and make a real difference in creating new ways of working in the automation of technology both regionally and globally.

The role is based remotely with some travel into the office once or twice a month in Nottingham.

If you are seeking a challenging role within the world of technology and devops, please apply now.
