AXW / Azure
up to £100K + benefits

I am working in partnership with a reputable Software as a Service company who are on a very exciting journey. 40% of their client base are the biggest household names including Amazon. Google and Astrazeneca.

They have created a new role for a Director of Software Engineering to build a technical team consisting of Software Engineers, Testers, Product Manager, Product Owner and Scrum Masters. This is a pivotal role in which you will be leading the design and development of their scalable enterprise cloud based products. The 3 key areas of this role include technical leadership, people management, and project management and delivery. You will be responsible for developing and driving the strategy, technical design, architecture, and delivery of SAAS solutions. You be having technical discussions and giving guidance to the team and promoting best practice.

The successful candidate will have experience of managing Agile software development teams and have managed people within the team undertaking devops activities including continuous integration and deployment and builds. It is essential you have experience of managing the development of enterprise level of multi-tenant SAAS products. Experinece of working with cloud technologies, ideally AWS or Azure, is imperative. You will need to demonstrate experience of growing engineering teams, developing and retaining them. Whilst this role does not involve hands on coding, you will have worked as a developer, ideally with C#.NET, although the client will consider candidates from a Java background. You will need to have strong design and architecture skills.

In return the client is offering an exceptional salary and benefits package with the opportunity to create your own career path as this is a new role. The role is currently remote based until September and then will be a mixture of office and home based.
