This exciting contract has arisen to work for an exciting international client based in Belgium, Brussels. They require a strong hands on Unix/Linux Engineer to work with tserver systems, Unix/Linux design and hands on installation, configuring and hardening of their new servers.
Key Skills and Responsibilities- This person will be responsible for the design of complex architectures of UNIX/Linux based server infrastructures
- They will have the ability to Install and administer UNIX/Linux server systems, used as DB or application servers, in large and heterogeneous networks
- UNIX/Linux utilities, scripting for the automation and monitoring of system and application tasks
- They will work with the UNIX/Linux Servers security and hardening
- UNIX/Linux Servers specific procedures for Backup and Recovery
Key Skills- Strong UNIX/LINUX design and installation experience
- Strong Installing, configuring and hardening new RHEL servers (physical and virtual)
- Updating the image for the automated server deployment
- Manage and use the open source infrastructure monitoring for the RH servers + troubleshooting of OS errors
- Perform security patching
- Alerting and Monitoring
- TCP/IP Networking (SNMP, SMTP, DNS, DHCP)
- UNIX utilities, scripting with UNIX shell
- UNIX/Linux system management tools
- Unix/Linux performance tuning and analysis
- Linux Installation, Administration, Troubleshooting, Upgrading
- Manage RH Satellite for distributing packages
- Manage RH idM for the admin users on the servers
- Manage application service accounts
- Manage server certificates and configure SSH keys for non-interactive access
- Manage servers via Ansible
- Manage containers at OS level
- Manage the OS of Oracle physical clusters
- Fluent in English
