Senior Security Specialist / Architect (Home-based)

We currently have an urgent requirement for a Senior Security Specialist / Architect to join a market-leading company based in South Birmingham. This is an ideal opportunity for someone who is interested in being a key figure in a well establish Security team. You will work closely with the Head of Security Ops to develop their environment, working with cutting edge technology.
The key purpose of this role is to provide the technical leadership and subject matter expertise to guide the design, implementation and ongoing operation of the systems and services.
This role spans ‘Security Architectural Design’ and ‘Security Operational’ activities, and will provide technical leadership of functions within the Security Tower and support wider design and bidding activities across Serco.
The role will be required to manage relationships with and influence senior stakeholders (both internal and external) and may lead small teams of consultants and act as a mentor for more junior members of the team.
Skills:
Good knowledge of firewalls, SIEM tools, Identity and Access Management etc
Qualifications would be advantageous; however, proven practical experience working with technical and architectural security is more important than specific qualifications.
