Android Developer - Mobile Developer - Mobile Android Developer
Monarch IT are working with a marketing agency, who are looking for 2 Android Mobile Developers on a short term contract basis. This company is based in London, and would therefore mean you working in the office at least once per week. Pay up to £525 per day OUTSIDE IR35.
What they are looking for:- Able to work with a designer/product team to create a quick functional app
- Rapid prototyping using Android Jetpack compose for UI
- AR experience on Android
- Bluetooth connectivity experience
- AI/ML knowledge of how Android can take advantage of these emerging technologies
- Implementation of Vector animation frameworks such as Lottie/Rive
- Developing solutions involving a moderate to high degree of technical complexity
- Comprehensive knowledge of Android SDK, different versions of Android, and how to deal with different screen sizes
- Experience using Kotlin for development as well as Java
- Knowledge of Git – branching, merging, tagging, cherry pick
- Familiarity with RESTful APIs to connect Android applications to back-end services
- Strong knowledge of Play Store and considerations of releasing apps to the public
- Strong knowledge of Android UI design principles, patterns, and best practices
- Experience with offline storage, threading, and performance tuning
- Familiarity with the use of phone features, eg location, camera
- Knowledge of the open-source Android ecosystem and the libraries available for common tasks
- Ability to understand business requirements and translate them into technical requirements
- Familiarity with cloud message APIs and push notifications preferred
- Understanding of Google’s Android design principles and interface guidelines
- Familiarity with continuous integration and Gradle build scripts
- Ability to write unit tests using tools eg Mockito, Espresso
- Familiarity with CI tools like Jenkins
- Knowledge of Dependency Injection tools like Dagger2, Butterknife
- Knowledge of Lambda expressions and Java 8 features
- Knowledge of RX Java and Retrofit, minimum 1 year.
