Monarch IT are working with a IT specialised subsidiary of one of the largest Bank's in East Asia who have an exciting new permanent role just come live! They are looking for an experienced individual to join their Application & Operation Support team, as an Application Developer. This role is a permanent position, paying up to £54,000 per annum. You will initially start of on a working a hybrid approach, where you will be onsite 2/3 days per week, and working from home 2/3 days (depending on the week) - This is based over in London.
As an Application Developer you'll be working within their Application & Operation Support team where you will be required to occasionally work outside of core UK working hours, due to other IT departments being based in New York and Asia.
Main duties as an Application Developer are as followed:- Managing and supporting ETL processes, troubleshooting ETL jobs and other systems including nightly/early morning batch processing in the event of failure. Implementing solutions (Code fix, SQL scripting etc), including checking Windows Servers, Databases (SQL Server or Oracle) and any other relevant environments where the system is running.
- Working with the wider Development team and other support teams
- Contributing and regularly joining technical and design workshops
- Critically and actively contributing to help define system support standards to ensure their applications are fully capable of running safely in production
- Working with the application release team in the rollout of applications in production that minimise system failures after release
- Assessing performance, scalability and security matters across design and implementation phases
- Participating in definition and configuration of the system environment in Disaster Recovery sites.
- Providing system support services in non-production environments such as disaster recovery and development environments required for SDLC.
- Providing scripts for database enquiry languages, i.e., T-SQL (SQL Server) and PL/SQL (Oracle) to provide analysis and exporting data etc. based on business requirements.
- Creating documentation to describe Application and Operations Support activities of the team
- Handling enquires and requests from Audit and Compliance departments in order to meet the criteria.
- Following the existing team programming policy to keep a common system support style to be shared among team members.
Must have experience:- C# or other programming langauges
- SQL Server, Oracle Database
- SQL Scripting
- Application Development experience
