This major retail client is on the hunt for a Service Transition Lead to work part of a large scale E-commerce Disaster Recovery project. The Service lead will ensures the successful transition of services and over-see the operational test management.

What the Service Transition Lead will work on

  • As the Transition Lead, you will define and drive to completion all aspects of a solution related to Service Transition and Testing, liaising with all required Project Teams, Suppliers and Internal Teams.
  • You will report to the Programme Test Manager, ensuring that all Service Transition and Testing elements of the proposed Disaster Recovery solution are documented, approved, tested and delivered.
  • To move from project phase to acceptance by the Service Support Teams in line with the existing Service Transition Framework
  • Leads a standard approach for the new application and infrastructure solution
  • Authoring responsibility for service support guides, service transition plans and operational runbooks for DR Invocation
  • Leads a transition approach for care and maintenance activities in line with development and support teams
  • Understand the testing effort by analyzing the requirements of projects
  • Develop the test plan for the tasks, dependencies and participants required to mitigate the risks to system within a time scaled budget.
  • Define the hardware and software requirement for the Test Setup as well as lead tests to cover unit testing, connectivity testing, recovery testing, performance testing, site failover testing
  • Track and prepare the report of testing activities like testing results, test case coverage, required resources, defects discovered and their status
Skills and Experience

  • Experience with Disaster Recovery projects
  • Ability to demonstrate Service Transition/ Manager experience on a DR project
  • Good understanding and experience of Operational and Project Management principles
  • Desirable - retail e-commerce
  • Stakeholder Management across varying management and 3rd party supplier layers
Qualifications/Training/Technical Skills
  • Strong process knowledge of Software Development Lifecycles
  • Strong technical understanding of e-commerce Disaster Recovery solutions
  • ITIL/ISEB Certification
