What the
Transformation Project Manager will work on        

This project management role will be responsible for the successful delivery of defined projects to secure improvements to care services and clinical pathways. The post holder will be responsible for reporting on all aspects of the project, including escalating failures in the delivery of project milestones. Working within the Transformation team this role will be responsible for the successful delivery of defined projects to secure improvements to care services and clinical pathways. The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate knowledge of how health systems work, particularly flows into and out of Acute hospitals and the interdependency of health and social care systems.

The post holder will work to plan and organise a range of activities and staff inputs to the project work stream from functions across the Arden and Gem Commissioning Support Unit and service providers (where appropriate). This will include establishing a project plan, risk register and ensuring milestone deliverables are achieved.

Skills and experience
  • Solutions focused – supported by a Project management qualification and Degree level qualification
  • Understands and can apply redesign methodology including change management tools and approaches
  • Good understanding of health or social care provision
  • Good understanding of service redesign principles
  • Knowledge of current NHS structure, policy direction and issues
  • Good understanding of commissioning objectives
  • Understanding of risk management
  • Customer focused and committed to delivering an excellence service 
  • Able to work within a robust project methodology framework 
  • Able to demonstrate experience of change management particularly within the health and social care sector 
  • Able to work flexibly with a range of clinicians and stakeholders.
  • Understands and can apply redesign methodology including change management tools and approaches
  • Able to demonstrate experience of change management particularly within the health and social care sector 
  • Able to work closely with patients and the public to understand needs and help create new models of care and services
  • Previous work experience within an NHS Commissioning environment
