We are currently recruiting for a Solution Architect to join a market leading Technology Company in Manchester. Your time will be split between home working, customer site visits across the north and onsite meetings in the head office. My client is an award winning company with an outstanding reputation for staff retention and development. They are widely recognised as a fantastic company to work for!
An opportunity has arisen to build out the current Solution Architects team focusing on the Infrastructure Platform solutions. In particular, we are looking for candidates with a strong Hosting & Managed Service background to support the expanding hosted infrastructure offering.
Experience in the design and build of Managed Service based solutions
Previous demonstrable experience in cloud computing technologies
Openstack knowledge a beneficial
Ability to engage with customers and discuss current application requirements and the transition to a private or hybrid cloud
Ability to articulate benefits of automation and orchestration in modern IT Infrastructures
Good awareness of newage tooling for application development
You must be able to work under pressure in a time-critical environment
You must have excellent time management, attention to detail and concentration
You will need to be flexible and a team player
Prepared to work extra hours to complete quarter ends
About the Role
Demonstrate market, solution and product knowledge utilising meetings, web conferences, phone calls & documentation
Demonstrate the value proposition
To support and work in-line with the sales team
Ensure the Business Systems are always up to date with the correct Solution Architect information and all proposed solution information in the system is up to date and correct
To ensure all statements of work/proposals are up to date and integral and have been peer reviewed by an appropriate Team Member/Technical Architect/Head of Infrastructure/Network Services.
All documentation is uploaded to the relevant location in time for any project award
Ensure the Project and Managed Service teams obtain the information they require in order to deliver a project and on board a service
To maintain any accreditations, the company requires for vendor partnerships in line with company requirements
Ensure the customer is clearly aware of the solution they are buying and assumptions and pre-requisites are clear
To build clear relationships with customers and potential customers
To help and drive, wherever possible, the closure of projects and services
