We are currently recruiting for a Programme Office Manager (PMO) to join a market leading company based in Birmingham. This is a player/coach role. This role is a critical part of the strategic programme function and is the single role that supports the delivery of strategic programmes, by setting programme delivery standards, implementing those standards and measuring the compliance of them for each strategic programme.  There are 8 strategic programmes. This role also manages all programme level PMO management and support that is in place.

Responsibilities

  • Leading and managing strategic PMO team (circa 2 SMEs)
  • Team reward and recognition
  • Leads and managers all aspects of the PMO team, including: delivery methods, reporting, standards, processes, compliance and assurance through the end to end programme cycle.
  • Implements and manages all programme delivery PMO support processes, standards and services
  • Ensures that all reporting is completed in a timely manner and to the agreed quality criteria

What we are looking for

Successful candidates will be able to demonstrate awareness and previous knowledge of the following:
  • Have worked in a large complex Blue Chip environment
  • Have completed the delivery of similar roles within complex environments
  • Experienced stakeholder manager – able to influence successfully at all levels within the organisation
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, including a confident presenter and facilitator
  • Ability to identify, assess and prioritise
  • Customer focused
  • 3-5 years’ experience in working in a Group IT shared service environment
