Key Responsibilities


This exciting global financial client is currently expanding their digital and payment technologies. A requirement for a Java Developer to combat this solution has come about, this specialist will have a deep knowledge of software development and object orientated programming predominately in a Java and Spring environment. 
  • This  Java Developer will be working with a small scrum agile team headed up by the technical lead, in addition they will be working with a systems analyst and scrum master
  • They would want this person to have an advanced understanding of object orientated languages
  • Analyze requirements, work closely with platform architects to assist in architecting solutions, and create detailed designs
  • Deliver solutions by providing day-to-day technical leadership for other developers as well as providing direct development of software
  • Mentor other technical resources and assisting in evaluating candidates for new positions
  • Assistance with production support issues by acting as point-of-contact and subject matter expert in resolving incidents and problem tickets.
  • Looking ideally for someone with scaled Agile, not essential at all normal agile is fine but would be helpful
Key Skills
  • Java 8 / Spring / Mockito / Cucumber
  • RESTful web services, JSON / JMX remoting
  • Postgres / Elastic
  • Configuration management (Puppet) and a Linux OS (RHEL)
  • Git, GitLab / GitHub and continuous integration (Jenkins)
  • Proven experience working in an Agile environment, with continuous integration and collective code ownership
  • A high degree of skill in Java web service development and testing
  • Familiarity with high availability distributed systems, SOA and RESTful messaging
  • You may have a Computer Science or related degree, or be qualified by experience
