This is an opportunity for a leading candidate to assume accountability for the successful management of projects and programmes for my client. This position carries responsibility for driving the strategy, development and implantation of Programme and Project Management best practices. My client is a global organisation, currently going through expansion, allowing you the chance to work in a large, financially secure environment.

  • Leads the PMO, Programme and Project Management and Project Support staff in delivering successful projects that meet scope, schedule, budget, quality, and other customer requirements.
  • Provides leadership to PMO, Programme and Project Management and Project Support staff, including; hiring, staff performance and individual performance plans, salary administration, staff training, mentoring and career development
  • Owns the relationship with customers, maintaining a client-centric approach to project delivery and provision of resources where necessary
  • Ensures programmes & projects are managed with necessary governance whilst maintaining an approach that does not overburden with bureaucracy
  • High level stakeholder and client engagement
  • Actively engages with other operations managers, including leadership of and/or participation in work process improvements, adoption of new technology, standardising tools, and leading other related initiatives

  • Create and manage the portfolio plan for WS shared services
  • Plan and manage demand and capacity for professional services in scope
  • Develop and manage the operating plan, resources and associated budget for the function
  • Identify technology, capability, service and market innovation opportunities to improve 
Financial Responsibilities
  • Create and maintain the pricing model for the delivery of professional services
  • Manage the budget for the Professional Services function
  • Maintains common standards for project financial management across the portfolio
Operational Responsibilities
  • Actively manage the project portfolio, ensuring risks, dependencies, costs and progress are tracked
  • Ensure project standards and processes are communicated in order to sustain compliance
  • Provide regular reports on programmes and projects within portfolio
  • Deliver a project management service, providing appropriately skilled project management resources to UK OpCos as required
