We currently have an urgent requirement for a Head of Business Change to join my client based in Birmingham. The Head of Business Change is accountable for their specific Business Unit Technology portfolio ensuring that there is a clear portfolio plan that details all the Technology requirements for significant changes and new contract mobilisations delivered within the BU.

The role:

The Head of Business Change will work with senior stakeholders to ensure the right Technology programme initiatives are prioritised that contribute to the achievement of the functions goals and contribute to the alignment of the Support Services Strategy. The role will be accountable for ensuring change initiatives and mobilisations are supported on time and to budget through Operational Services allocated resources and that there are effective relationships with business stakeholders to ensure they can facilitate change from a Process, Data Management and Technology Aspect.

  • Own the change portfolio and demand forecast for The Business Unit;prioritise new work, identify low value or unnecessary activity and manage expectations appropriately.
  • Lead and manage the IT programme of work and associated transformation aligned to the Head of Business Change; prioritise resources whilst ensuring that direct line management and portfolio management are kept informed of key decisions.
  • Initial engagement, ongoing Support and Input to the bid lifecycle process within their own business area, being the common point of contact for other IT and business colleagues. For successful bids ensuring resources are allocated and full mobilisation team allocated to deliver the mobilisation. Accountable for delivery of mobilisation.
What we are looking for
  • Qualified to degree level or equivalent qualification
  • Change qualification e.g. MSP, Prince2, APMP, P3O, Lean Six Sigma etc
  • Ideally will have had experience of delivering a major Technology projects or programme or equivalent experience.
  • A wide exposure to portfolio management, prioritisations and IT delivery
  • A passion for delivering value through Information Technology and business change
