Job Description

Graduate Software Developer - Birmingham - to £28k

Fantastic opportunity for a keen graduate developer with an interest in Software / Web Development to join an award winning software company based in the heart of Birmingham!

With excellent training and personal development options available, this is a fantastic ‘first role’ for a talented graduate or junior developer looking to grow their career.

As a Graduate Software Developer you will...

…join other developers at a similar level and alongside more experienced developers to develop a suite of highly successful cloud based applications using cutting edge software web technologies.

Ideally you'll have a background in software development using Object Oriented and web languages such as ASP.NET, C#, Java, JavaScript, HTML and CSS - though you'll have the opportunity to pick these up as you go!

It’s not critical that you’ve used these specific technologies before, provided you have a strong academic background and exposure to development languages previously.

In return you’ll be joining a blue chip organisation built on a foundation of bringing on strong graduate / junior staff and growing their careers and experience to more senior levels. You can look forward to useful feedback, further training, a team-based mentality and working with others who genuinely want to help you grow your career, offer you the support you need!

Desired Skills:

  • Graduate / junior software development experience in ASP.NET / C# / Java / JavaScript / HTML and CSS or similar object oriented languages
  • A genuine interest in growing a strong career as a software web developer
  • A strong academic background – ideally BSc or MSc educated in Computer Science or a similar academic qualification (Maths, Physics, Engineering etc.)
This is a fantastic opportunity for a junior or graduate to start their successful career in software development, taking advantage of first class training and close mentoring while working on genuinely interesting cloud based application-service projects.

Company Culture and Benefits:

In addition to excellent training and personal growth, you can look forward to joining an award winning group of like-minded people and taking advantage of a wealth of experience and company culture.

As well as a highly competitive salary and excellent location in central Birmingham, you can look forward to further benefits including Annual Bonus, Private Health Insurance, Disability and Health Insurance, Company Pension Scheme, 25 day’s holiday and frequent company events (including the ever-popular Friday-night drinks!)

Location: Birmingham city centre – easily commutable by public transport / road links and with ample parking in the area.
