ETL Developer

Rate: 250-318 per day

Length of Contract: 6 months

Location: Manchester

Role Statement:

IT analysis, development, projects and support are the key to everything we do to deliver success and innovation at Radius. Our IT team works using both agile and waterfall project methodologies and are constantly reviewing, adopting and using new technologies as well as assessing new approaches to solving the varied, complex and dynamic problems we face in our business.

My client have a requirement for an ETL Developer to work on a variety of business critical initiatives and applications. These applications include a business intelligence data warehouse, our innovative customer portal and a new ERP platform. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring that our complex data is effectively managed across our application landscape.

Experience required:


The essential skills/attributes are:
  • Significant hands-on experience of designing, developing and supporting ETL solutions.
  • Working knowledge of Python is mandatory.
  • Excellent SQL and data manipulation skills, ideally in an Oracle environment.
  • Understanding of data warehouse methodologies and associated best practices.
  • Experience of implementing data transformation and data cleansing solutions to deliver improved levels of data usability and quality.
  • Ability to influence stakeholders and to effectively manage customer expectations.
  • Experience of managing, planning and delivering a pipeline of development tasks.
  • Ability to build a strong rapport with members of the IT Team and the wider business teams, ensuring that responsibilities are clearly defined, communicated and agreed.
 

 
Particular skills / aptitude required:
  • Experience of working with commercial ETL tools would be beneficial.
  • Experience of working with finance / ERP data would be beneficial but not mandatory.
  • Experience of working in a software implementation / software development environment.
  • Ability to work in a team-oriented, collaborative environment.
  • Demonstrate strategic thought leadership and an ability to effect tactical level change.
  • Think critically and focus on outcomes.
  • Professional approach and an understanding of business ethics.
