Enterprise Architect 

We have a new exciting opportunity for a Enterprise Architect within an expanding FTSE 250 business. This is a fantastic opportunity for the right candidate to work for a market leading company that can offer excellent career progression opportunities. 

The Head of Infrastructure Architecture will define and communicate the future Interserve technology landscape across compute platforms, identity & access, information security, networking & telecoms and end user computing to provide a cost-effective, scalable, responsive and secure infrastructure upon which we can deliver business and enterprise applications and IT services.  This will include the development of principles, reference blueprints and standards and the governance of compliance to these.
The Head of Infrastructure Architecture will understand the current technology landscape across the Group and assess this against business, technology and industry drivers along with any risks and opportunities in order to develop and drive roadmaps for change.
The role will work with stakeholders across the Group to prove new technologies and communicate the benefits and risks associated with their adoption.

Responsibilities
  • Shape and deliver strategy projects including End User Computing, Active Directory and Hosting/Cloud (IaaS)
  • Defining and governing principles, models and standards for the Infrastructure capabilities
  • Documenting our current state landscape, future vision and roadmaps
  • Drive standardisation and consolidation of Infrastructure technologies including user devices
  • Forge strong relationships with our key strategic vendors and partners (Microsoft, BT, IBM, AutoDesk) exploiting the capabilities these bring for business benefit

Knowledge skills & experience

  • Experience of delivering Enterprise Architecture related projects and programmes including strategy, roadmaps, reference models and standards
  • Expert across Microsoft Azure and Office 365 technologies and how these fit together in an enterprise environment
  • Broad experience across infrastructure domains including compute platforms, identity & access, information security, networking & telecoms and end user computing
  • Experience of messaging services built around Exchange, Skype and Active Directory
  • Experience of MS related management products including SCCM and FIM
  • Experience with Cloud infrastructure including Azure
  • Experience of TOGAF and ITIL
