We wish to hire a contract Business Analyst to partner with the business, technology and our end users to create and document new and existing business requirements for the digital project streams that are currently live and pending.

The scope of your responsibilities
  • You will ensure that the outcomes are aligned with our service vision and business strategy by contributing to the link between current and future business models and delivering to the business architecture;
  • You’ll investigate, analyse, visualise, articulate and solve complex problems and concepts and make disciplined decisions based on available information;
  • Through applying thinking, gathering and analysing information using comprehensive tools and techniques and using data, you will formulate both short-term day-to-day and longer term strategic plans;
  • We need you to drive the analysis, identification, prioritisation and implementation of improvements and efficiencies, thereby ensuring that the organisation derives maximum value from our services;
  • You’ll constructively challenge and act as a critical friend to achieve solutions that are fit for purpose;
  • We’ll expect you to facilitate collaboration and lead effective communication with all stakeholders to support the design, build and delivery to meet the user needs;
We are looking for the following skills, experience and knowledge:
  • You’ll have a successful track record of delivery as a Business Analyst professional operating as a specialist in fast-paced, evolving environments that utilise iterative methods and flexible approaches to enable rapid delivery
  • You will have experience of working with Agile practices and deploying them on project streams;
  • You’ll be an expert in requirements gathering, process mapping and business modelling
  • Your experience of Data Analysis and Interpretation will allow you to critically evaluate information gathered across multiple sources, reconcile variances, and recommend proposals to the business;
  • You will need experience of multi-stakeholder management and vendor partnership engagement; we would like to see examples of where you have identified, analysed and managed relationships with and between stakeholders
  • With your understanding of a user-centred design, you will be able to illustrate how you have previously identified who the key user groups are and what their needs are based on an evidence-driven approach
  • You will be able to translate user stories and propose design approaches or services to meet the business or user needs
  • You have experience of creating and documenting functional and non-functional specifications;
  • Experience of using JIRA for user story management and Confluence for knowledge management and project knowledge would be highly beneficial
