Job Description

As the Data Warehouse Expert you will have knowledge in the following requirements:

Experience Required:
  • Expertise in Government Digital Service’s Digital by Default design principles
  • Practical knowledge and expertise in roles and responsibilities in a OBIEE and data warehouse environment
  • Demonstrable and proven track record of the design, leadership and delivery of Oracle OBIEE business intelligence solutions for large numbers of external users
  • Comfortable operating and influencing at senior level
  • Ability to collaborate and effectively communicate with business areas and data owners to successfully implement and maintain an enterprise level business analytics and data warehousing solution
  • Understanding how to embed capability and transfer knowledge to the client
  • Demonstrable track record of working with Oracle Exadata, Exalytics and OBIEE
Activity 1 – Design and build data warehouse
  • Demonstrable and proven track record of design, creation and maintenance of data warehouse.
  • Demonstrable and proven track record of the production of business intelligence using high volumes of transaction data
  • Demonstrable experience of day to day management of database, performance tuning at database level , security, patching and data management
  • Experience of ETL development and best practice to deliver optimum performance
Activity 2 - build robust repositories and data views
  • Demonstrable experience and knowledge of the creation and use of OBIEE logical data models and building repositories for the effective analysis using OBIEE
  • Performance tuning and enforcing repository best practices
  • Proven track record of developing data access queries and use of OBIEE tools
