What the Business Analyst will work on 


This government organisation is looking for a Business Analyst to be a trusted adviser to the business stakeholder and product owner. They will provide independent and unbiased critical analysis with a focus on strategic alignment on the end to end business process. They will be responsible for the quality and coverage of requirements across the programmes and projects they are assigned to, ensuring requirements align to the Business Architecture.
 
Skills and experience
  • Knowledge of requirements elicitation and definition, including modelling techniques (business / process /data)
  • An understanding of requirements management theory and 
    practice
  • Knowledge of Business Case production and evaluation
  • Knowledge of tools and techniques to support analysis
  • Knowledge of emerging practice within analysis discipline
  • Experience of requirements elicitation, definition and management
  • Experience of Business Case Production 
  • Experience of the Software Development Lifecycle, including working in an iterative or agile environment
  • Knowledge of Business Architecture tools and approaches
  • Excellent analysis, investigation and problem solving skills 
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Negotiating skills
  • The ability to constructively challenge evidence and  proposals
  • The ability to assimilate information quickly
  • Facilitation skills (particularly for workshops and agile  ceremonies)
  • The ability to identify and manage risks
  • Planning skill
