This specialised government organisation is on the hunt for a Business Analyst to work with the business stakeholder and product owner and provide independent and unbiased critical analysis with a focus on strategic alignment and the end to end business process. They will be responsible for the quality and coverage of requirements across the programmes and projects they are assigned to, ensuring requirements align to the Business Architecture. They have the confidence and skills to influence and negotiate with stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Knowledge of requirements elicitation and definition, including modelling techniques (business / process /data)
  • An understanding of requirements management theory and practice
  • Knowledge of Business Case production and evaluation
  • Knowledge of tools and techniques to support analysis
  • Knowledge of emerging practice within analysis discipline
  • Experience of requirements elicitation, definition and management
  • Experience of Business Case Production
  • Experience of the Software Development Lifecycle, including
  • Working in an iterative or agile environment
  • Knowledge of Business Architecture tools and approaches
Skills and Experience 
  • Excellent analysis, investigation and problem solving skills
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Negotiating skills
  • The ability to constructively challenge evidence and proposals
  • The ability to assimilate information quickly
  • Facilitation skills (particularly for workshops and agile ceremonies)
  • Exposure to software enhancements including Office 2016 and video conferencing etc would be advantageous 
  • The ability to identify and manage risks
  • Planning skills
