Business Systems Analyst

Position Overview & Responsibilities
The Systems Analyst will support the Head of Business Systems Architecture in undertaking the following activities under direction:
  • Create, collate, validate and integrate information from a wide variety of groups and individuals into the central Group IT Interserve-wide architecture repository about:
     o Physical application deployments
    o Physical infrastructure hardware and software environments, comprising compute, hosting, storage, networks, end user devices, etc.
     o Logical application definitions
     o Application interfaces and dependencies
     o Application analysis, strategic intent and known road maps of change
     o Business context, including supported business processes, users, locations, customers and service
Technical skills:
  • Experience of creating, maintaining and using Enterprise Architecture content to support the delivery of significant organizational change, including:
      o Enterprise Architecture models comprising: Business Capabilities, Processes, Organisations, Locations, Data, Applications and Technology
      o Reference models and architectures
  • Experience of performing detailed analysis of IT architectures
  • Experience of creating and using logical data models to understand data lineage and structure across organisations
  • Excellent verbal, written and presentation skills
  • Excellent planning and organization skills
  • Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail – able to discern key insights from large amounts of data
  • Solid understanding of software engineering disciplines and methods
  • Exposure to or knowledge of TOGAF, BCS Enterprise & Solution Architecture Reference Model or equivalent architecture frameworks
  • Knowledge and experience of ITIL or equivalent IT service management frameworks
