Description

Have you got a Java background and want to expand your knowledge in application support, learning new skills along the way?

My client is a global Financial Service looking for an Analyst Support Developer working extensively with Java - based in Nottingham and want a 3rd line support person to join their close-knit support team. You will have the opportunity to use multiple skills as this position will be split between coding and diagnosing multiple java based platforms and applications and problem-solving.

You’ll take ownership of incident resolution, implement software fixed at source code level and role out hot fixes using Java.

You’ll also work closely with Spring, Maven, Bit Bucket, GIT, Netbeans, Ajax etc – training is available and this is a great opportunity to pick up these skills if not already possessed!

Would suit a keen support developer with basic Java knowledge looking to further their career.

The successful candidate will ideally have:

  • 1 to 2 years in a Java Development / Commercial Support environment.
  • Be confident, analytical and enjoy problem-solving
  • Experience in GIT / BitBucket would be an advantage, however, not essential, for the right candidate they offer training!
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Preferably have a Bachelor’s Degree in either Computer Science / Software Engineering / Information Technology or similar
This is a great opportunity to join a global leading software / services company, gain a range of technical skills and further your career within a comfortable environment in Nottingham!

Please apply with your latest CV to be considered and, if you're relevant I’ll be in touch! Also if you know anyone that could be interested, we pay referrals bonuses for successful introductions, so please pass this to whoever may also be interested.
