This high profile government client are a direct organisation within the justice system, this exciting project is forming part of a large scale digital change in which their web and internal products require a hands transformation

What the UX Designer will work on  

You will be a specialist in interaction and interface design for digital services. This covers all aspects of a service that a user would interact with, such as web applications, web sites and software. This also includes the non-digital steps a user might take to get something done. A designer will form a close partnership with a user researcher and often a front end developer and a business analyst, for a given digital service.
  • Delivering useful, usable and delightful digital services based on the culmination of end user and stakeholder requirements + existing technology constraints / limitations / opportunities
  • Delivering high quality digital service designs that meet web standards and GDS/GOV.UK design principles
  • Work with user researchers to ensure all output, internal and external, is well designed and user focused
  • Visual design capability
  • Use of lean UX/Agile tools, techniques and a passion for working as part of an agile team
Skills and experience
  • Proven experience of designing interfaces and transaction flows for the web
  • Ability to prototype for the web & design in browser
  • A good basic understanding of web technologies and how they affect design, including accessibility
  • Experience of web and mobile application interface design
  • Core skills: sketching, design production, hand-coded HTML & CSS and rapid prototyping
  • Experience of responsive web interactions design for mobile devices
  • Service design experience, including user journey mapping
  • Experience working within an agile, multi-disciplinary team environment, and ability to deliver iterative design components (including user journeys) to the development team
