Informatica Powerexchange Consultant

My client is an award winning, expanding, FTSE 100 provider who are currently implementing Informatica Power exchange and Informatica Power Centre as part of their Data Warehouse programme.


We require skilled staff to assist on this, specifically with the implementation of the CDC component of Informatica.


We have recently employed a project manager to work on this project and he is currently putting his plan (and resource requirements together).


Rate: Dependant on Skills and Experience. Please can you let me know the rate you would need to consider the position?


Length of contract: 6 Months + Likely to be throughout the whole of 2017 for the right person


I have outlined below the skills we are looking for:


1)      CDC Informatica 9.6.1 x
  1. Ideally you will have done Oracle RAC (11-12x. CDC) to Teradata (14.x) however this is not essential
  2. Must know Informatica Power exchange.
  3. Will produce documentation/architecture
  4. Cross train resources for support
  5. Must have dealt with various issues with CDC
  6. Will be expected to install, deploy, configure, optimize (performance) test for CDC (Oracle)
  7. Will do performance and configuration tuning
  8. Deployed on Linux, not just Windows PWX/PC
  9. Will be expected to document processes/packages and knowledge transfer
2)      PowerCenter (9.6.1x)
  1. PowerCenter mappings/ETL
       i.      5-10 years
  1. Use of data quality
  2. Strong administration, deployment and HA expertise
  3. Maintenance patch support
  4. Perform advanced ETL development activities using Informatica, Oracle Database tuning, SQL, Informatica Server administration, etc.
  5. Pushdown optimization
  6. Provide data analysis to support new project definition/design as well as to troubleshoot/resolve issues with existing subject areas.
  7. Work independently or as part of a team to deliver data warehouse ETL projects.
  8. Follow established standards and best practices and provide input for improvement of those processes.
  9. Maintain a high volume, multi-terabyte 24/7 data warehouse application.
  10. Create, update and maintain project documents including (but not limited to): business requirements, functional and non-functional requirements, functional and technical design, data mapping, etc.
  11. Performs other related duties as assigned by the PM
  12. Will be expected to document processes/packages and knowledge transfer
