Data Architect 

Job type: Full Time/Permanent 

Location: Cardiff 

Salary: £50,000 + excellent company benefits 


My client is a well-established company who are now on the lookout for an experienced Data Architect to join their offices in Cardiff. 

As a Data Architect you will be responsible for being the lead in the development of technical design. You will be required to provide support during the implementation phase of external and in house solutions within the project life cycle. 

Other main duties include: 
  • Manage other Data Architects within the team
  • Be responsible for the governance and architecture of the Data Warehouse
  • Ensure all BI requirements are included in all system changes
  • Report accurately on how systems are being integrated and how data passes through them
  • Sign off all changes regarding to the data to ensure they suit the vision for data
  • Be the technical link between IT and MI
  • Support data development and the DBA team to help optimise performance
  • Work closely with all stakeholders to analysis and translate business requirements into technical requirements
  • Ensure all projects are delivered on time and within budget
  • Work closely with the enterprise architect to help with the strategic plans and standards
  • Provide recommendations and support for 3rd line engineers and risk managers
The ideal candidate must have the following: 
  • Excellent analytical ability
  • Previous experience of providing a data centred design solution to the business
  • Demonstrable experience of successful delivery of a Data warehouse as part of a wider programme
  • Exceptional experience of using project methodology and structured frameworks
